SkyLink wins in Siberia

The Russian CDMA-450 operator SkyLink has secured GSM-1800 spectrum in four regions in the Siberian Federal District, while Vimpelcom and Summa Telecom failed to pick up a single concession. The Russian government was auctioning 13 licences covering various parts of the Federal District; SkyLink won four 1800MHz licences, Sibirtelecom won two 1800MHz concessions and a combined 900/1800MHz permit and Vladivostok New Telephone won two licences. Other winners included Tele2 and Akos, CNews reports.
