Brazil was home to nearly 113 million mobile lines at the end of September, says the regulator Anatel, thanks to the net addition of 1.8 million new connections since the end of August. Of the total, 60.4% are pre-paid, the watchdog said. The overall cellular penetration rate stood at 59.5% at 30 September, up from 58.6% the previous month.
