BTL to finish pre-paid billing installation

18 Oct 2007

Belize Telemedia Limited (BTL, formerly known as Belize Telecommunications Limited) is planning to implement the final phase of its Intelligent Network (IN) pre-paid billing system ensuring all of its pre-paid customers have access to improved, more ‘user-friendly’ services, the incumbent telco said in a statement quoted by BNamericas. The implementation will ensure all of BTL’s pre-paid fixed line, analogue cellular and payphone users have access to IN. To date, only pre-paid customers of BTL’s DigiCell GSM-1900 mobile service can benefit from the platform, the statement read. BTL has invested USD4 million in the new IN system, which enables features including interactive voice recording, call forwarding, lower international rates and bundled services packages.
