Chunghwa Telecom has reported a net profit of TWD37.8 billion (USD1.16 billion) for January-September 2007, translating into net earnings per share (EPS) of TWD3.56, which is 77.4% of the company’s goal of TWD4.60 for the year. The Taiwanese incumbent also announced nine-month revenues of TWD139.9 billion. The telco reported a total of 4.22 million ADSL and FTTx (fibre-to-the-home/building) subscribers at the end of September. Of the ADSL subscribers, 1.1 million used bandwidth of over 8Mbps. In addition, its mobile unit reported just under two million subscribers to its 3G services at the end of September.
