Telefonica de Argentina has revealed that it plans to reach more than 800,000 broadband connections by the end of 2007 and more than one million twelve months later. BNamericas, quoting company strategy director Ronald Uthurralt, states that the telco will significantly increase investment in the broadband segment during 2008 but has to say by how much. Meanwhile, the company’s mobile unit, Movistar, will spend the bulk of its 2008 outlay on expanding 3G network coverage. The cellco launched a next generation network in limited areas of Buenos Aires last May.
