According a statement from Sittel, citied by BNamericas, the Bolivian telecoms regulator will fine the country’s three mobile operators for service quality lapses that occurred in July and August. The size of the fines are not yet known, but Sittel head Cliford Paravicini previously indicated to BNamericas that sanctions would be proportional to the annual revenues of each company, and that a daily sanction for Entel, the biggest operator, would not be less than BOB150,000 (USD19,300).
