iPhone available via Orange from November

21 Sep 2007

France Telecom has finally confirmed what everyone already knew: that it holds exclusive rights to distribute Apple’s iPhone in France. The telco’s chief executive Didier Lombard declined to provide specific details on pricing, but said the new handset would not be subsidised by the company. He went on to say that French consumers would be able to get hold of the iPhone before Christmas, and possibly as early as November. Given that the UK and Germany are expecting to see iPhone launches on 9 November, a French launch is also expected close to that date.
