eircom secures GBP70m civil service contract in the North

Irish former fixed line monopoly eircom has been awarded a GBP70 million (USD140 million) contract by the Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to roll out a new network – dubbed ‘Network NI’ – over the next two years. eircom takes over from BT which previously provided the NICS’s managed network services.
