19 Sep 2007

Norwegian incumbent Telenor has signed a deal with French-US vendor Alcatel-Lucent for the supply of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH), fibre-to-the-node (FTTN) and VDSL2 broadband equipment. The new kit will enable the telco to offer services such as high-definition television (HDTV), video-on-demand (VoD) and high speed internet access, in line with its ‘all-IP’ strategy. Initial deployments are expected by the end of 2007.
