India’s Bharti Airtel, the newest GSM mobile licensee in Sri Lanka, yesterday announced in a press release that it has signed a managed networks deal with China’s Huawei Technologies, including the supply of ‘telecoms applications and software’. The three-year contract covers the entire island and is valued at approximately USD150 million.
