13 Sep 2007

France Telecom has announced that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with the shareholders of TEN, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), with a view to taking a controlling stake in the company. Orange currently hosts TEN on its mobile network. The conclusion of the transaction, which is subject to the finalisation of binding agreements, will allow TEN to develop innovative offers and services in France in partnership with Orange. TEN (the trade name of CGBC) was founded in 2006 by Jean-Louis Constanza with the aim of offering easy to use internet-based services on mobile phones.
