TeliaSonera launches new FMC package

TeliaSonera Sweden has scheduled the launch of a new residential telephony package, Telia Home Free, based on fixed mobile convergence (FMC), on 28 September. Hakan Dahlstrom, Head of Mobility Services at TeliaSonera, announced that Home Free incorporates ‘the personal communications capability of the mobile phone in residential telephony,’ and added that the service ‘has been developed to lead the migration from fixed to mobile and makes mobile communications both easier and cheaper by combining the mobility of the mobile phone with the low calling cost of fixed telephony.’
