PrimaCom reports modest growth in first half of year

3 Sep 2007

German cable operator PrimaCom has announced its results for the first half of 2007. Revenues increased from EUR57.9 million (USD78.9 million) in 1H2006 to EUR58.1 million in 1H2007. EBITDA for the six months ended 30 June 2007 was EUR23.6 million, while net profit was EUR5 million, nearly double the EUR2.61 million earned in the same period last year, mainly due to cost-cutting measures. The cableco reported 37,638 broadband customers at the end of June, compared to 17,652 a year earlier, while telephony subscriptions grew from 5,302 to 22,700 year-on-year.
