Indian value added services (VAS) company OnMobile is to buy French telecoms solutions firm Voxmobili for INR1.5 billion (USD36.7 million), reports The Economic Times of India. Infosys-backed OnMobile sees the acquisition as a means of upping its presence in Asia, Australia and the US. Paris-based Voxmobili is a specialist in providing personal data management and wireless synchronisation. Its own VAS software products are targeted at mobile operators, fixed line players, ISPs and cablecos. A formal announcement is expected next week.
