German cableco Unity Media (Unitymedia) has reported its results for the second quarter, ended 30 June 2007. Year-on-year, total revenues grew by 28% to EUR183 million (USD249.6 million) while EBITDA increased by 19% to EUR82 million. Blended ARPU (average revenue per user) over the firm’s total of 5.7 million RGUs (revenue generating units) climbed 38% to EUR11.05 compared to the same period in 2006. Unitymedia also reported that at 30 June, 54% of its network was upgraded to enable the supply of triple-play services; CEO Pam Sandhu said, ‘We are well on the way to our targeted 66% or 5.7 million homes upgraded by the end of 2007.’ CAPEX for the second quarter stood at EUR37 million. Operationally, Unitymedia claimed 519,000 digital TV RGUs, 180,000 high speed internet RGUs and 100,000 telephony RGUs at the end of June 2007.
