Entel Movil expands coverage to Carapari

Entel Movil, Bolivia’s largest cellco by subscribers, has launched services in the city of Carapari, in Tarija department, according to local newspaper El Diario, quoted by cellular-news. Approximately 12,000 inhabitants will benefit from the deployment of a base station providing rural mobile telephony services using GSM technology operating in the 850MHz band. The move comes as part of Entel’s universal access agreement with Bolivia’s public works ministry.
