CallPlus to launch as MVNO?

20 Aug 2007

New Zealand ISP CallPlus is reportedly considering signing a wholesale wireless deal with Telecom New Zealand which will allow it to launch as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). The Dominion Post says that CallPlus has rejected a wholesale deal with Vodafone because it was ‘commercially unacceptable’, and the ISP is now in negotiations with Telecom over a similar agreement. The incumbent recently signed a wholesale deal with TelstraClear which will allow the Australian-owned firm to launch its own MVNO service.
