According to BNamericas, citing local newspaper La Nacion, BroadBandTech (BBT) has launched a VoIP service in the city of Bahia Blanca. The report states that the service, called BBtel, will undercut local and long-distance call costs by 80%. Until now BBT has concentrated on the capital, Buenos Aires, but is keen to expand its reach. ‘We expect to launch similar services in several provincial capitals, possibly during the second half of the year,’ the company’s CEO Carlos Morea told BNamericas.
