The head of Italian ISP Tiscali says he is aiming to get up to 30% of the company’s DSL customers subscribing to a video-on-demand service which is being launched later this year. Tiscali is distributing three TV channels from state broadcaster RAI and is also making thousands of hours of content available ‘on demand’. CEO Mario Mariani says: ‘We have a target to reach 20%-30% of our customers served by DSL via unbundling, once the service is running at full steam in 2008.’ Mariani says negotiations are continuing on further content deals, Thomson Financial reports.
