O2 Germany has announced plans to cut its total workforce to 4,000 by mid-2008. The move will see 700 jobs cut in the cellco’s administrative and central departments. In addition, the Telefónica-owned operator will change its management structure by splitting technology management in two segments, network and service technology, as well as creating one new segment for product development and brand management.
