Telenor’s 70%-controlled Thai mobile subsidiary Digital Total Access Communications (DTAC) has posted second quarter EBITDA of NOK864 million (USD151 million), up by 23.8% year-on-year, from NOK698 million, but marginally below the NOK872 million recorded last quarter. Thailand’s second largest cellco by subscribers reported EBIT of NOK344 million for the three months ended June 2007, down from the previous quarter’s NOK369 million, and also below the NOK363 million posted in the corresponding period of 2006. Revenues rose to NOK3.00 billion in Q2 2007, up from NOK2.96 billion in Q1 and well ahead of NOK1.89 billion a year ago. CAPEX was NOK432 million, down from the NOK534 million spent in the first quarter and the NOK543 million in the same period of last year. DTAC, which is listed on the Thai and Singapore Stock Exchanges, had 14.48 million GSM subscribers at 30 June, up by 1.15 million quarter-on-quarter and 3.86 million year-on-year.
