Wind makes offer for Tele2

Italy’s largest alternative telco Wind has reportedly offered between EUR350 million and EUR450 million to acquire the Italian business of pan-European operator Tele2. Local newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore says the non-binding offer is in line with market valuations of Tele2 Italia. Another Italian telco, Tiscali, is also thought to be chasing Tele2, which claims around 2.5 million indirect telephony clients.
