Peterstar acquired by Synterra

The parent company of Russian wireless ISP Synterra has acquired St Petersburg-based telco Peterstar. Promsvyaz Holding has bought Peterstar for an undisclosed sum, CNews reports. Peterstar, which claims to be the largest alternative operator in Russia’s Northwest region, will eventually be integrated into Synterra. Synterra is currently rolling out a number of WiMAX wireless broadband networks in major Russian cities.
