The US wireless ISP Clearwire is reportedly looking at entering the Taiwanese broadband market via a partnership with local firm Pan Overseas. Reuters reports that the pair are working together to secure one of the six regional WiMAX licences which are currently up for auction. Clearwire, whose investors include Intel and Motorola, recently secured a USD1 billion loan which it is using to refinance existing debt. The operator is planning a nationwide mobile WiMAX network in the US.
