Nokia network deal

Slovak cellco Telefónica O2 has contracted Finnish-German vendor Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) as the sole supplier for its mobile network. Under the agreement, NSN has provided GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio and core equipment and is installing and optimising the network. The cellco launched services on 1 March 2007, and signed up 400,000 users within six weeks, according to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database
