Cricket inks contract with Alcatel-Lucent

Cricket Communications – a wholly owned subsidiary of Leap Wireless International – has signed a five-year agreement with Alcatel-Lucent for the provision of up to USD126 million worth of equipment, services and software. The deal includes the deployment of CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A. ‘We are very excited to further expand our Cricket wireless services across many more markets,’ said Glenn Umetsu, executive vice-president, engineering and technical operations at Leap.
