Bouygues and Completel in fixed-mobile cooperation pact

18 Jun 2007

Bouygues Télécom has teamed up with Completel, another French operator offering telecom services to the business market as well as to operators and ISPs, to cooperate on developing their respective positions in the fixed-mobile market. The pair have signed an agreement combining Bouygues’ mobile services with Completel’s fixed line offerings for launch to the business sector this autumn. ‘This partnership will enable us to bolster Bouygues Télécom’s strategy in the fixed sector, which we entered on 7 June with the release of our Business Synchro solution for SMEs,’ said Bouygues’ chairman and CEO Philippe Montagner, as quoted by Companynews. His counterpart at Completel, Jérôme de Vitry, added: ‘This joint market approach leverages the complementary positions of Bouygues Télécom and Completel. This agreement solidly positions Completel to address the growing corporate demand for fixed-mobile convergent services.’
