Batelco drops prices for business broadband clients

13 Jun 2007

Bahrain’s incumbent fixed line operator Batelco has cut the prices of its business user broadband internet packages. The firm revealed that it plans to reduce the rates of its Inet Dedicated Access service (offering download speeds of up to 100Mbps) by up to 50%, and halve the price of its SME-focused Broadband Business package to BHD20 (USD53) per month. Batelco has submitted the revised tariffs to the regulator, the TRA, which must approve them before they can be implemented. Alongside the announcement Batelco also unveiled a new service called ‘Managed inet Broadband’, which offers businesses unlimited internet access, remote router management and a sub-net of eight free IP addresses.
