France Télécom’s mobile division Orange and Telecom Italia’s Alice unit are in ‘advanced talks’ with mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Ten over a possible takeover or strategic alliance, writes AFX News Limited citing a report in the French daily Les Echos. The financial newspaper says that Ten has investigated a number of possible partnership agreements or buyout offers in recent weeks and is believed to have settled on an approach from Orange and Alice. Ten chief executive Jean-Louis Constanza declined to confirm the names of the potential candidates, the paper said.
