PCCW Global, an MPLS VPN provider, revealed last week that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Bharti Airtel to extend connectivity into India, thereby enhancing end-to-end global solutions. Bharti owns 102 MPLS points of presence in India and is the country’s largest cellco by subscribers having recently passed the 40 million customer mark. PCCW Global CEO Dan Lovatt said: ‘We are pleased to extend our MPLS VPN coverage via leading regional partners to emerging markets, such as those in the Middle East and South Asia. We are confident that alliances like this will help us achieve our objective of providing superior network service and support. This relationship with Bharti is part of our strategy to collaborate with global service providers so that we can work ever closer with our customers in their migration to MPLS-based Next Generation Networks.’ David Nishball, President of Airtel-Enterprise Services added: ‘Our partnership with PCCW Global is in line with our strategy to extend the global reach to our customers and provide them with a secure, consistent and reliable connection.’
