Movistar completes pre-paid migration

Telefónica-owned subsidiary Movistar Colombia has invest USD70 million in expanding and migrating customers to its GSM network according to local La República. The report, which is quoted by BNamericas and cites Movistar president Sergio Regueros, says that the cellco successfully migrated 5.7 million pre-paid subscribers from its CDMA network to its new GSM network. The company is now in the process of completing the migration of its post-paid users.
