Fledgling Slovenian mobile operator Tus Mobil has signed a national roaming deal with the country’s largest cellco by subscribers Mobitel, which has a GSM network covering more than 99.3% of the population. Tus Mobil is building its own GSM network in selected areas, expected to be operational by the middle of this year. Tus Mobil, owned by domestic businessman Mirko Tus, also bought fixed line and mobile operator Voljatel in November 2006. Voljatel subsidiary Volja Mobil launched MVNO services under the Izimobil brand in late 2005, also over Mobitel’s network.
