Danish incumbent telco TDC has engaged the services of Canadian vendor Nortel to improve its optical dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) next-generation network (NGN), in order to meet growing demand in Denmark and the Nordic region for multimedia services including internet television (IPTV), voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) and virtual private networks (VPNs).
