Subs growth helps boost US Cellular sales by 12%

US Cellular has reported a 12% rise in service revenue in the first quarter to USD860.6 million on the back of strong net additions. The total number of customers increased 6% year-on-year to reach 5.973 million at the end of March; this included 5.377 million retail customers. Average monthly revenue per user was up 5% at USD48.69, while post-paid churn was stable at 1.5%. Data services now account for 9% of service revenues.
