16 May 2007

Armenian fixed and mobile operator ArmenTel has launched a new GPRS service for post-paid users. GPRS-Packet includes the company’s GPRS-Internet and GPRS-WAP applications and can be activated for a monthly fee of AMD360 (USD1) per month. Users pay an additional amount based on the volume of data sent and received.

The cellco has also introduced a new pre-paid tariff plan dubbed ‘Summer nights’ which allows GSM customers to talk to their friends and relatives or send texts during off-peak times (24:00 to 8:00) for AMD3. Users must activate a new mini-Easy card to use the service.
