Brazilian broadband users increased by over 300,000 in the first quarter of 2007 to take the country’s total to six million at the end of March, according to research by US technology vendor Cisco. Despite the landmark, the reports showed growth slowing compared to the previous four quarters. Cisco also reported that 18.9% of the country’s broadband accesses were cable based, while xDSL accounted for 77% of the total.
