Leap Wireless first quarter revenue up 46%

Leap Wireless has announced that first quarter revenue grew by 46% year-on-year to USD389.4 million on the back of 318,000 net new additions to the overall subscriber base. Net income, however, swung from a profit of USD17.7 million in the first quarter of 2006 to a loss of USD8.1 million in the corresponding period this year. The company – which distinguishes itself by charging flat monthly fees for unlimited calls – saw its total customer base reach 2,548,172 users.
