DCM to enter voice market

Cable operator Digital City Media (DCM) is preparing to enter the Croatian fixed line telephony market with the commercial launch of its voice service ‘Xtel’, reports Croatia Today. According to company officials, voice traffic will be carried over DCM’s own cable network, which covers 130,000 households. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, DCM was founded in 2001 and operates HFC cable networks in Croatia’s first, second and fourth largest cities – Zagreb, Split and Osijek – and also covers the areas of Solin, Zadar and Velika Gorica; it provides cable broadband internet access services under the Xnet banner.
