Second cellco embarks on nationwide rollout

Namibia’s second mobile operator Cell One has announced that it has embarked on a national GSM network rollout following its launch in the capital Windhoek last month. CEO Lars-Christian Iuel said commercial services would be launched in northern regions this week and that Cell One retail shops in Oshakati and Ondangwa were opening for trading today. Cell One says it aims to provide cellular services in additional northern areas soon, including Ongwediva, Oshikuku, Tsandi, Oshitutuma, Oshuungu, Oniimwandi, Omuthiya, Omaalala, Iindangungu and Ombathi.
