Irdeto selected by T-Mobile Hungary for DVB-H trial

Hungarian mobile operator T-Mobile and local broadcast company Antenna Hungária have selected Irdeto to provide its Mobile Broadcast content security solution to support the companies’ DVB-H mobile TV technical trial. Following a deal announced on 12 April, Antenna Hungária has agreed to supply its broadcast expertise and infrastructure for T-Mobile’s DVB-H pilot in the capital, Budapest. The trial will test interactive services, technical capabilities and performance of the DVB-H specification. ‘Entering the mobile TV broadcasting market via DVB-H is one of the most important strategic initiatives for the company,’ said András Tóth, director of communication and marketing for Antenna Hungária.
