Velcom investments total USD402 million

In its eight years of operations, Belarusian GSM mobile operator Mobile Digital Communications (Velcom) has invested more than USD402 million into its networks and services. As a result of the spend its network covered 78% of the country and 93.3% of the population (including 99.9% of urban dwellers) as at 19 April 2007. At the same date the cellco had 2.66 million subscribers.
