M1 pre-paid customers first in Singapore to enjoy 3G service

Singaporean mobile operator MobileOne Asia (M1) has introduced 3G services for pre-paid users – a first for the island state. The M1 3G M Card costs SGD18 and will be offered to customers at M1 Shops and at other retail outlets. M1 was also the first of Singapore’s mobile service providers to roll out 3G commercially to its post-paid customers in February 2005. M1 had 528,000 pre-paid UMTS customers as at 31 December 2006.
