Triple play comes to Bahía Blanca

13 Apr 2007

Local newspaper Infobae, quoted by BNamericas, claims that CrossFone, local cable TV operator Bahía Visión Color and ISP BVNet have launched triple play services in Bahía Blanca in Buenos Aires province. According to the story, CrossFone, a unit of VoIP operator LatiNode, expects to invest USD300,000 in the project in 2007. Last month CrossFone and local cable TV operator Supercanal launched a triple play service in Mendoza province. BNamericas states that CrossFone, which began operations in 2004, mainly focuses on the retail segment offering pre-paid phone cards and international long-distance calling, as well as IP telephony services to SMEs, virtual cards and local numbering. Parent company LatiNode has traditionally focused on wholesaling international long distance services over IP to Latin America.
