Get chooses Cisco IP NGN

13 Apr 2007

Cisco has announced today that Norwegian cable operator Get is using its IP next generation network (IP NGN) technology to upgrade its network to support accelerating broadband traffic demand. According to Cisco, Get is the second major cable operator in Europe to deploy its EuroDOCSIS 3.0 downstream channel-bonding technology. The upgrade supports the delivery of broadband services to 380,000 homes in Norway and will make it possible for Get to develop bundled services combining video, data and voice over a single ultra-high bandwidth broadband connection.
