Regulator issues WiMAX licences for four counties

Croatian telecoms regulator the CTA has awarded 3.5GHz WiMAX licences covering four counties to four operators. The concessions, which all cover the counties of Krapinsko-zagorske, Varaždinske, Koprivni ko-križeva ke and Viroviti ko-podravske, were won by Optima Telekom, Novi-Net, Odašilja i i veze (OiV) (all three allocated 2×21MHz) and WiMAX Telecom (2×14MHz). All four winners already hold WiMAX licences in the same frequency range in other regions of the country.
