Anatel rubber stamps Unicel’s São Paulo licence

Brazilian telecoms regulator Anatel has given final approval to Unicel do Brasil Telecomunicações (Unicel) for its GSM mobile licence in the São Paulo metropolitan area, writes BNamericas citing a report from online news agency Agência Estado. Unicel is now officially the city’s fourth operator alongside Vivo, TIM Brasil and América Móvil’s unit Claro, subject to the completion of some formalities such as the publication of the news in the government’s official gazette, an Anatel spokesperson said.
