Telkom vows to lower prices

4 Apr 2007

Telkom South Africa has committed to a review of its pricing structures to ensure that its rates are ‘internationally competitive’. The operator was responding to criticism from President Thabo Mbeki who said the company has been ‘profiteering’ by charging over-inflated tariffs. Telkom chief executive Papi Molotsane said: ‘The process of price rebalancing will continue until we arrive at a point where prices are aligned with actual costs,’ local news portal MyADSL reports.
