The National Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) has announced that it intends to award wireless network operating licences in the 1900MHz-1905MHz and 2500MHz-2690MHz spectrum bands in spring 2008, suitable for mobile broadband services. Prior to the planned tender, the regulator says it will invite existing operators to register their interest in a licence, and also encourages all interested parties to submit views regarding the spectrum by 2 May 2007.
