French alternative telecoms operator neuf Cegetel, backed by French mobile operator SFR and Louis Dreyfus group, has finalised its 100% acquisition of Parisian FTTx operator Erenis. The triple play provider has more than 10,000 customers in 1,500 buildings covering in total around 55,000 homes.
According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, SFR, which is 56% owned by Vivendi and 44% by the UK’s Vodafone Group, is the biggest shareholder in neuf Cegetel with a 40.6% interest. Louis Dreyfus now has a 29.6% stake in the company, having previously been almost as large a shareholder in neuf Cegetel as SFR. 20.3% is in free float, 1.5% is held by employees and others (including financial sponsors) hold 8%.
