Cablemas reports 2006 results

Mexico’s second largest cable TV operator, Cablemas, has reported a 28.3% increase in revenue in 2006 to MXP2.3 billion (USD208 million). Operating profit climbed 48% to MXP538 million, although net profit dipped 14.5% to MXP90.6 million. At the end of 2006 the company’s network passed 2.01 million homes, of which 709,309 took cable TV, 176,182 broadband internet and 25,089 telephony services.
